Description of project

Every year, more seniors in Calgary are living alone. For many, social isolation leads to loneliness, depression, and chronic health problems. Confederation Park 55+ Activity Centre's Tea & Conversation program promotes social interaction through dance, music, and conversation. Around 500 participants a month nourish vital friendships and access social services. Our goal is to is to do a much needed update to the washroom. Creating a beautiful environment helps seniors know they are respected and cared for. We would also like to update the stage for our wonderful performers that give there time weekly to Tea & Conversation.
