Helping Citizens Live Well
The Life and Living Well program will assist you to organize and remain in control of your life. Through a series of sessions, in a social atmosphere, you will be guided by a professional to develop your own life long care plan that can be shared with your loved ones, friends, and your healthcare providers, if you so choose. You will also be encouraged as helping neighbours, to look out for one another, through our Neighbours Helping Neighbours program. Each session is 1.5 hours and will use different tools and resources to help you create your plan.
The Life and Living Well program consists of 4 sessions which include: happiness and living a good life, developing a circle of care, support along with recognizing one's own skills and talents in order to be able to reach out to those who are isolated and or need help, and being in charge of one's life and developing goals that are meaningful as well as understanding the Ontario law related to who makes decisions for you if you are unable to do so.
Through GIVE65 fundraising, our hope is to raise money to help run this program in areas that need it the most. This includes in seniors buildings, with seniors organizations, and in community centres like Kingsville Community Centre, where seniors frequent the most. Helping to improve quality of life for our most vulnerable is a goal that WECCC has been working on for just over 3 years. With your support we will continue to help others and provide people with the help they need and want. Thank you.
