We are raising funds to help us grant unfulfilled wishes to seniors. For a variety of reasons, many seniors have missed out on the opportunity to pursue their unexplored dreams and wishes and it's through the granting of these wishes that we hope to raise social awareness around the inequalities of our seniors, honor the role they play in our society, and help bridge the gap between generations. Due to COVID-19, we have had to find other ways to deliver our charitable activities and have begun delivering care packages to seniors. These care packages have been designed to safely provide seniors with social and recreational engagement opportunities while reinforcing sentiments of care, appreciation, and social connectedness. This funding will allow us to not only continue delivering these care packages, but also grant wishes to seniors that take place within the Atlantic Provinces due to COVID-19 guidelines at this present time.
At the We Are Young Association, we work very closely with sponsors, volunteers, and our community to ensure that we are are doing everything we can to hold true to our mission. We have found that we are not only impacting the lives of our wish recipients but also the lives of their families, of their communities, and of individuals who now believe that they can do anything, no matter what age they are. This idea of creating happiness at an older age in everyone's life is what shapes the core of this organization, and, because of this, we are able to impact the lives of every person we have the pleasure of connecting with.
Through the granting of wishes, the We Are Young Association hopes to raise social awareness around the inequalities of our seniors, honor the role they play in our society, and help bridge the gap between generations.
