To create a fun and engaging world-class VIRTUAL concert for SENIORS that will be the next best alternative to a LIVE concert.
This is critically important for seniors during COVID-19 and beyond. Challenges of the pandemic have resulted in seniors suffering isolation from loving family members and friends, loneliness, depression, and discernible decline in mental health and overall wellbeing. Performed by Ensemble Vivant, whose music-making was described in the March 2020 edition of The World Note Magazine as "Music-making at its evocative best!," this beautiful program will take audiences on an enchanting musical journey from the music of J.S. Bach to Ragtime, to Tango to music of the Gershwin Era and more. Arrangements were written by leading composers exclusively for Ensemble Vivant's unique instrumentation of piano, violin, viola, cello and bass (www.ensemblevivant.com).
Funds will go toward the audio recording and video filming of a live concert by Ensemble Vivant.
The purpose will be for wide-spread dissemination to retirement homes and senior care facilities across North America.

Music is the Key for happier, healthier families, seniors, and respective communities.
The effects of your performance last Wednesday before an enraptured audience in our Princess Margaret Hospital lounge are still being felt. So many patients have asked when you will play here again, and all of them want to hear your CDs all day long in the meantime. You "treated" our patients in ways that only extraordinarily exceptional music-making like yours can do. Each time you play for our patients your deeply sensitive, expressive piano playing feeds and nurtures their souls and uplifts their Morales. It is like the warmest most healing sunshine penetrating deep into the psyche, as well as the entire physical and spiritual being. Many fine artists have performed here for our patients, but your magical playing possesses qualities that go beyond even the exceptional; divine qualities that transform, enchant and stir the listener to the deepest levels of their mind, body and soul.

Euterpe's performance programs realize in action what cognitive psychologists, neuroscientists and other researchers have determined to be highly beneficial for seniors and others through ongoing experimentation whose results have been documented and widely disseminated.
The wonderful interactive high-calibre performances of classical and jazz music that world-class Ensemble Vivant (the flagship performance ensemble for Euterpe) bring to seniors are essential, life-enhancing opportunities that enrich seniors lives with the multiple benefits of this music.
